SI G13

The first in a series of stages that circle the urban area of Genoa from the countryside, featuring a short route with little elevation change. From the Colle di Creto, a ridge is followed northward, gradually descending towards the Valle Scrivia. It touches on several minor peaks such as Monte Alpe, Monte Carossino, and La Sella, before descending to the village of Crocetta d'Orero. This is, along with Colle di Cadibona, the lowest pass in the entire Ligurian Apennines, situated at 468 meters above sea level. The historic mountain railway Genova-Casella, which crosses the Bisagno, Polcevera, and Scrivia valleys, connects the city center with its higher districts.
