The Sentiero Italia continues its journey westward with this short stage, characterized by a gentle elevation change. From the Passo del Faiallo, the path heads south to the 1112 meters elevation of Passo Vaccaria, where it turns southwest. You pass at the base of Rocca Vaccaria and gain the summit of Rocca del Groppazzo before passing by the Rifugio Argentea. Continuing west, you reach the Piano del Bric Damè, and then heading south, you arrive at Colle Sud del Bric Resonau. A final stretch west leads to the hamlet of Prato Rotondo, where the shelter of the same name is located. This stage takes place within the Monte Beigua Regional Natural Park, established in 1985, a protected area defined as a “belt” due to its proximity to the urban territory of Genoa.
