A very short stage with limited elevation gain along the watershed between the coast of Loano and the Val Bormida. From the Giogo di Giustenice, you ascend to the summit of Monte Carmo di Loano at 1,389 meters above sea level. This peak offers a panoramic view and has a particularly recognizable profile from many locations along the Ligurian Riviera, extending as far as the city of Genoa. On clear days, the view stretches from Corsica to Monviso, all the way to Monte Rosa. The descent follows the path passing by Bric Pagliarina, concluding at the Giogo di Toirano, a mountain pass that connects the coast with Bardineto.
