The last Ligurian stage before a fork in the Sentiero Italia CAI is still short and characterized by limited elevation gain. From Colle Scravaion, you climb through dense forests up to Bric Schenasso, surpassing 1000 meters in altitude once again. A brief descent leads to Colle dei Laghi before ascending again towards Bric dello Schiavo, which is not reached as you take a dirt road leading to Colle di San Bernardo di Garessio. At this point, you can choose whether to continue towards Piedmont or follow the Ligurian variant, which will connect with the Piedmontese route further ahead.
