This is the link between the Ligurian and Piedmontese parts of SI. The Pianberlino pass is located 700 m to the east of the Colle di San Bernardo, where the provincial road connects the Piedmontese Tanaro valley to the Ligurian Neva valley. At the pass, a large square hosts one of the gigantic wind turbines found around the pass. The trail descends to the right into the woods until it reaches the paved road at a hairpin bend. Then continue right on the dirt road to reach the abandoned farmhouse of the Archpriest. The path continues with descents and flat areas until reaching the ruins of the chapel of San Mauro. Once you reach the valley floor, follow the stream until you arrive at Borgo Piave, the oldest village in Garessio.
