Another medium-length stage with a slight elevation gain that heads north towards Monte Fumaiolo and the sources of the Tiber River. From the Passo di Viamaggio, take the trail west towards Montalto, but veer north towards Poggio dell'Aquila before reaching it. After a stretch of dirt road, you will arrive at Monte della Zucca at 1258 meters, then draw a wide arc that leads to Poggio Tre Vescovi at 1126 meters. From here, you descend to the settlement of Balze.
