SI L04N

This is an intermediate stage in terms of distance and elevation that takes the Sentiero Italia through the Casentino Forests Park. From Verghereto, head southwest to pass over the tunnel of the Tiberina State Road, returning to the border between Emilia Romagna and Tuscany at the Passo Rotta dei Cavalli, at an altitude of 1,172 meters. From here, along the ridge, you aim for the summit of Montalto, which is skirted from the south, continuing towards Monte Zuccherodante. This peak is also bypassed on the southern side, proceeding west until reaching the road pass of Passo dei Mandrioli. Descending through a wooded valley, you arrive at the carriage road of Val di Corezzo, which leads to Badia Prataglia.
