Tappa molto lunga e impegnativa. È possibile spezzarla in due pernottando al Rifugio Orto di Donna che si trova sul percorso oppure al Rifugio Donegani che, seppur fuori dal percorso, è facilmente raggiungibile.
We ascend via path no. 35 until we reach the Passo della Tambura (1,650 m). Here, we take path no. 148 and climb Monte Tambura, reaching its summit at 1,890 m. We continue along the ridge, passing the summit of Monte Crispo (1,835 m). As we go further, the path becomes a marble road leading to what was once the Passo della Focolaccia at an altitude of 1,645 m (not far from the historic Bivacco Aronte, which is worth a visit; it symbolizes the Apuan Alps and was built in 1901, inaugurated on May 18, 1902). We continue straight on path no. 179 to reach Foce di Cardeto at an altitude of 1,642 m, where we can admire Monte Cavallo to our left. From Foce di Cardeto, we continue on path no. 179, finding the Bivacco K2 (located on the northern side of Monte Contrario, inaugurated in 1961 and renovated in 2001) at an altitude of 1,500 m, followed shortly after by the Rifugio Orto di Donna at 1,493 m. From here, we follow path no. 179 to Foce di Giovo (1,500 m), then proceed briefly on path no. 37 until we reach a fork, where we take path no. 175 to arrive at the village of Vinca (808 m). After passing through the village near the Chiesetta della Madonna, we take path no. 39 to reach the hamlet of Aiola (336 m); continuing on path no. 39, we quickly arrive at Equi Terme (250 m).
