SI L08

Another stage with reduced elevation gain and intermediate length, traversing the Apennine ridge that separates the Mugello plain to the south from the Po Valley to the north. From the Passo della Colla di Casaglia, the route ascends from the Bivacco Capanna Marcone to the Varco di Acquabona, where it crosses to the northern side of the ridge, bypassing the summits of Monte Pratone and Poggio dei Prati Piani. After regaining the ridge, it heads back to the northern slope, circumventing Pian del Giogo and reaching Passo del Giogo di Scarperia.
