A moderately long stage with a gentle elevation gain that crosses the Pistoiese Apennines heading west. From Cascina di Spedaletto, the route crosses Provincial Road 24 and reaches the Passo del Capannaccio, then follows a drivable road intermittently while trying to stay along the ridge. Near the village of Baita del Termine, the road is abandoned, and the path resumes through the woods, ascending to Poggio di Valcapratica before descending to the road pass at Passo di Collina. In a final stretch that alternates between the drivable road and the trail, it passes beneath the summit of Poggio Orticaia and descends into the valley formed by the River Reno, leading to the village of Pracchia.
