A moderately long segment with significant elevation gain leading to the ski resort of Corno alle Scale, still along the ridge of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines. From Pracchia, a steep ascent leads to Poggio del Ronco at an altitude of 1136 meters, where a more gradual ascent continues uphill, passing a series of peaks until reaching Rifugio del Montanaro at an altitude of 1567 meters. At Passo del Cancellino, you return to the border between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna, which you follow until the last slopes of Corno alle Scale and then further to Passo Tre Termini and Lago Scaffaiolo, where Rifugio Duca degli Abruzzi is located for overnight stays.
