SI L15

A short stage with medium elevation gain that, in the first part, circles the Abetone ski area and then passes by Lago Nero at the higher elevation of the lifts. From here, the path continues through the Passo di Annibale, where it is said that the Carthaginian general passed during the Second Punic War. The trail then enters a stunning amphitheater beneath Mount Rondinaio, leading to Lago Santo Modenese, which has two mountain huts for overnight stays.
