The Lazio section of the Sentiero Italia begins with this medium-length stage featuring almost entirely downhill elevation. From Alvito, the route continues parallel to the S.S. 666 road towards Sora, leaving the territory of the Abruzzo, Lazio and Molise National Park and descending along the slopes of the Central Apennines. At Campoli Appennino, it runs alongside the Marsican Bear Wildlife Area and continues on to Sora, following the Liri River in the province of Frosinone.
