A moderately long stage with some elevation changes, featuring a route with numerous ups and downs, it enters the territory of Sabina and ends near the artificial lake of Turano. From Carsoli, the first ascent of the day begins, which, with some elevation loss, reaches the village of Collalto Sabino at 940 meters before a descent that ends at Mola tra le Vene along the course of the Fossa di Riancoli stream. A second steep ascent takes you to over 1000 meters at the base of the Vena Maggiore peak, where a long traverse begins at mid-slope at the foot of the peaks of Monte Cervia and Colle Pobbio. The stage concludes at the southern shore of the lake in Paganico Sabino.
