Leaving the A. Sebastiani Refuge (1820m), the path 404 leads up to the Selletta di Pratorecchia (1875m) and then descends along a dirt road to the junction where the trail begins. Near Sella Jacci, follow the curve of the dirt road until you pick up the path again shortly after, traversing the Costa Ghiaiosa at mid-slope to reach the Rifugio Maiolica (1704m). After crossing the stream, climb up towards the slopes of M. Piano while bypassing the Rifugio Vallebona (1732m). The trail then follows the lower slopes of M. Cambio (source of Cambio 1775m) and continues across the high pastures of Costa Acera, which overlooks the Vallonina, arriving at Forca dei Faggi (1727m). At mid-slope, traverse the ridge from Colle Prato Pecoraro to M. Catabio, descend into the beech forest to emerge near the Laghetto della Croce (1585m). Just beyond, you join the dirt road leading to the Sanctuary of San Giuseppe on Colle la Croce (1626m). From here, take the steep old path of the Via Crucis down to the junction at the beginning of the Vallonina (935m) and ascend a cobbled path to enter the VII Aprile square in Leonessa, marking the end of the stage.
