A short stage with negligible elevation gain that crosses the Amatrice plateau. From Torrita, you reach the village of Collegentilesco, from where you turn towards Lake Scandarello, which is crossed via the Cinque Occhi Bridge. The artificial basin was created by the construction of the dam of the same name, which stands 55 meters tall and was built in 1924. In 1944, the dam was mined by retreating Nazi troops during the advance of the Allies. Only the intervention of 27 local partisans prevented the attack. After crossing the lake, you reach the town of Amatrice.
