N.B. 30/06/2021 Si segnala un tratto presso l'Altopiano delle Cinquemiglia dove il tracciato, inglobato in un campo coltivato, si perde. Nell’attesa di individuare un’alternativa, il problema è facilmente aggirabile stando sul bordo del campo medesimo oppure percorrendo la strada comunale barreana per 4,8 km fino al Santuario della Madonna della Portella dove riprendere la traccia originaria. Si consiglia di prestare massima attenzione e l’utilizzo di un GPS.

With a long route and significant elevation gain, this trail delves into the Apennine territory, passing near the ski slopes of Monte Pratello. From Barrea, the ascent heads east along the slopes at the base of Monte Rotondo until approaching Colle della Monna, where it gradually turns north around the summit. On the descent, the route reaches the wide plateau at the base of the ski facilities and crosses through it. Continuing north, after a brief ascent, the path descends to the flat area, reaching Rivisondoli at the foot of Monte Calvario.
