Another long stage characterized by significant elevation change, traversing some of the most spectacular areas of the Majella National Park. From Campo di Giove, the trail begins through a beautiful valley, first descending and then ascending, leading to the village of Pacentro. After crossing the village, another path is taken that, skirting the rocky cliffs of Morrone, ascends to Passo San Leonardo, beneath the imposing western face of Monte Amaro, which at 2793 meters is the highest peak of the Majella massif. From the mountain pass, the trail descends towards Roccacaramanico.
