Hiking
A medium-length stage with a gentle elevation leads the Sentiero Italia through the region of Molise. From San Marco la Catola, we descend to the La Catola stream and continue along the Tratturo Castel di Sangro-Lucera until we reach the historic Ponte dei Tredici Archi, which we cross to enter Molise. From there, we ascend through municipal roads and paths until we arrive at the village of Tufara. A dominant feature of the landscape on this stage is the Lago di Occhito, which begins right at the bridge, collecting the waters of the Fortore and its tributaries.
