Hiking
A long stage with intermediate elevation gain that ascends again before descending into what is considered the gateway to Alto Molise. Leaving Isernia heading east, the route reaches the village of Pesche, where a steep ascent begins immediately until reaching the last slopes of Monte Cimorre. The trail continues for a stretch around 1,100 meters above sea level, skirting the peaks of Colle della Croce and Monte Totila. The stage concludes in Pescolanciano as it descends on the northern slope of the latter mountain.
