A stage with modest distance and elevation gain that leads the Sentiero Italia Cai among the peaks of the Monti Alburni, particularly at the summit of their highest peak: Monte Panormo at 1724 meters above sea level. This is a very characteristic route through limestone peaks and karst sinkholes that have given the area the nickname “Campanian Dolomites”. The trail also passes near several swallow holes, including the Grotta di Zi Carluccio, after which the path descends sharply towards the village of Sicignano degli Alburni, where one can stay in a center rich in history dating back to the times of the Sabines.
