Hiking
A rather short stage with moderate elevation gain that crosses the heart of the Monti Picentini, featuring several ups and downs, but never exceeding an elevation of 1000 meters above sea level. The highlight of the day is the passage by the Grotta dello Scalandrone, the main cavern in the area, where even the hiker equipped with a headlamp can visit the first chamber called "Hall of the Playing Girls," which contains a small lake fed by a little waterfall. Continuing through beautiful forests, you reach the stopping point at Casa dei Rocchi.
