Hiking
This is the first stage of the so-called variant of the Lattari Mountains, which diverges from the Campanian route of the Sentiero Italia towards the coast at the tip of the Sorrento Peninsula. With a moderately long stage and elevation change, the route heads south towards Salerno. From the village of Contrada, you ascend to the summit of Monte Bufoni, then continue towards Monte Salto. Just below the peak of the mountain, you descend to the town of Mercato San Severino.
