With this intermediate stage and a gentle elevation gain, the Sentiero Italia reaches the ridge of the Monti Lattari, circling the valley that opens up to Maiori at the beginning of the Amalfi Coast. From Avvocata, the route proceeds along the northwestern slope of Monte Demanio, heading towards Colle Solve and Colle della Serra, surpassing 1000 meters above sea level. Along the ridge, there is an ascent to Monte Finestra at 1145 meters, followed by a passage through the Grotta di Pietrapiana before descending to Tuoro Sant’Angelo. Here, the ridge is abandoned as the path traverses around the base of the summit of Monte Sant’Angelo di Cava, gradually turning west to reach the pass that connects the agro nocerino with the Amalfi Coast.
