A relaxing stage through woods and clearings, a route that weaves through the plateaus of the Aspromonte National Park, which act as a watershed between the Ionian Sea and the Tyrrhenian Sea. From the former Sanatorium, we continue on a dirt road that leads to the Zillastro Forest Checkpoint, then proceed to the Zillastro Plain where, at a crossroads, stands the Crucifix of Zervò. Just ahead, in the pine forest, you can see the plaque erected in honor of the 400 Paratroopers of the Nembo, who fell in the last battle on the Zillastro plateau on September 8, 1943. We cross the Stoccato Plain and continue down a dirt road, crossing the Valley of the Dead Man, until we ascend to the Trepitò Wood in the municipality of Molochio, eventually reaching the paved road.
