<The stage takes an arc route through the hills overlooking the municipality of Gimigliano, where the final destination is located. It is a short stretch of trail with minimal elevation gain, with the most significant point of interest being the Sanctuary of Madonna del Porto, built in 1751 by a young wanderer named Pietro Gatto after a nighttime apparition occurred right in these woods. Thanks in part to the fresco of the Madonna of Constantinople and the new sanctuary erected in 1975, this place has become one of the main centers of Marian spirituality in all of Calabria. It is also possible to stay overnight at the Sanctuary.
