The transfer from Sila to the Costiera Mountain Range concludes, the mountain group that separates the plain of Cosenza from the Tyrrhenian Sea. With this stage, which is long and has considerable elevation gain, we return to the mountains with three ascents and three descents, taking us back above 1000 meters in altitude. The highlight of this stage is the crossing of the stunning Potame Forest, at the foot of Monte Scudiero. The conclusion is at the Casellone Forestale di Monte Cucuzzo, where a mountain tourism welcome facility has been recently renovated.
