The final leg is long and features a significant elevation change, traversing the territory of the Catena Costiera. The route leads to the Passo dello Scalone, regarded as the boundary of this particular branch of the Apennines. This pass also marks the entrance to the Pollino National Park, where several subsequent stages will take place. The trail crosses natural oases, SIC areas, and ZPS regions in a context dominated by biodiversity, characterized by alpine and Apennine landscapes structured within the mountainous forests of the Catena Costiera up to the Passo dello Scalone. The vertical signage, which was established in previous years, has been largely destroyed. However, horizontal markers are present along the entire route starting from Lago Pressico, to Lago Penna, and up to Passo dello Scalone. There are also short spurs along the trail that connect it to the Tyrrhenian Sea and the historic centers of Guardia, Cetraro, Bonifati, Sangineto, and Belvedere. The initial part of the stage presents an ascent to reach over 1000 meters at the halfway point. After a descent and a subsequent climb, the day's destination is reached by descending.
