This stage is of medium length and with a slight elevation gain, continuing the Sentiero Italia trail through the interior of the Sicilian island towards the east. From the village of Cefalà Diana, you reach the Norman castle that dominates the landscape and descend to the town of Villafrati. Afterwards, ascending, you circle the peak of Pizzo Avvoltoio and continue eastward, staying below the ridge where numerous wind turbines stand. From Cozzo Rocca Cavallo, which you do not summit, you descend into a small valley crossed by a cart road and then ascend to the summit of Cozzo Bardaro at an elevation of 695 meters. Following the ridge, you reach the saddle of the Stretta di Carcaci and continue until a significant change in direction leads north to the village of Ciminna.
