From Case Cartolari Liperni, you reach Portella Di Testa on the Nebrodi ridge to continue along the Sentiero Italia heading east, traversing a path between wide pastures and stunning views on both sides, stretching from the Tyrrhenian coast to the imposing Etna. Afterward, you encounter Portella Dàgara (1467 m above sea level), from where a detour leads to Lake Trearie, the highest in Sicily. Continuing on, you reach Passo della Busica, near which is the small Pisciotto Lake. A bit further, you'll find a kiosk, and by continuing on the paved road for a few kilometers, you will arrive at Portella Mitta (1244 m above sea level) on S.S.116, which takes you to the village of Floresta, where you can take a break in local accommodations.
