From Escalaplano, follow the paved and unpaved roads on a stage of about twenty kilometers, first heading towards Marcasua, then along the Rio Su Ruaxiu stream and the charcoal makers' path up to the Sa Mola plateau with its characteristic rocks shaped by the elements. The route descends into the Flumendosa valley and concludes in Armungia, the village that gave birth to the great writer and politician Emilio Lussu. Of particular interest is the nuraghe located right in the center of Armungia, dating back to the Bronze Age, around 1500-1400 B.C.
