Due to the damage caused by the flood of 2008, the trail no longer follows the gorge of Riu Tolu, but instead heads towards Laccu Muttaxeddu and then along the miners' road lined with dry stone walls. Upon reaching the Su Suergiu mine, you proceed towards the forest of rio Tolu towards Su Niù and S’Achili, in the municipality of San Nicolò Gerrei, where you can spend the night. This is an easy stage but stretches for about twenty kilometers.
